Wishbone Ash guitarist, Mark Abrahams took possession of his brand new, custom made single cut junior guitar on Saturday 20th July at East Durham Guitars, Shotton Colliery. The guitar was hand built by EDG over a period of four months to the guitarists personal requirements. The body sport an off-white colour scheme and has been modelled on a similar style to the ‘Les Paul’ Junior but with unique differences such as a single Kloppmann P90 pickup, a compensated wraparound bridge and a mahogany body and neck.
The Wishbone Ash guitarist is currently on a Summer break from touring and is soon to hit the road again with two shows in the North East in October, including The Playhouse, Whitley Bay on 1st October followed by the Arc, Stockton on 2nd October.
During his visit to EDG, Mark took some time to meet fans, give out autographs and even a private demonstration of his guitar skills including an impromptu rendition of Gary Moore’s Midnight Blues. Mark left EDG ‘Totally blown away’ by the quality of the instrument and has endorsed a limited edition signature model on sale exclusively from EDG.
