Organisers of the annual Northern Kin Festival, Wannasee Ltd has announced that this years event will not go ahead.
The festival, which was due to be held at Thornley Hall Farm, East Durham, was due to take place 1st-3rd August with many headliner acts including Michael Schenker, The Undertones, The Stranglers, Midge Ure along with many other acts from the world of rock, punk, folk and blues.
Northern Kin organisers posted the announcement on Facebook and on their website on 4th June saying: We’re heartbroken to confirm that Northern Kin will not be going ahead this year. The team have been working around the clock the past couple of weeks to find a way to run the festival but, despite our best efforts, we are unable to do so. This decision has not been taken lightly. Despite enormous efforts behind the scenes, recent developments have made it impossible to continue.”
Organisers are also advising those who have bought tickets to contact their card issuers for further details for seeking refunds.
